After dropping my children off to school, I chose to meditate instead of jumping straight into my studies. This decision was an insightful experience, as it made me realize that I had been holding onto emotions that needed to be released. During meditation, I deliberately explored various emotions to observe their physical effects. Frustration and anger did not stir anything within me, but when I thought about feelings of abandonment, something shifted. My heart felt like it skipped a beat. Recognizing this, I repeated the affirmation, “I am releasing feelings of abandonment. I am never alone,” silently at first, and then, despite my initial stubbornness, I spoke the words out loud. This vocal affirmation brought tears, not of sadness, but of joy and relief.
