Leviticus 20

Leviticus 20 is a chapter in the Bible that guides the Israelites to follow moral and religious conduct according to their covenant with God. The chapter lists various offenses that are considered objectionable and prescribe punishments for transgressions such as adultery, incest, and idolatry. It emphasizes the importance of holiness and separation from practices considered impure or unholy and underscores the need for the Israelites to maintain a distinct identity as God's chosen people. The role of the priest in enforcing these laws and administering justice is also highlighted, as they play a crucial role in upholding the covenant. Overall, Leviticus 20 seeks to guide the Israelites to live righteous lives according to divine decree by setting moral standards and consequences for violating them.

Last night, I experienced a breakdown. I have been experiencing moments of darkness for the last couple of days. I prayed to the Most High and asked Him to show me what I needed to see. Upon opening my Bible, I came across Leviticus 20:26, which reads, "You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am Holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own." He knows who we are because we came from him. We shouldn't put so much energy into explaining to others who we are and what's inside our hearts. Instead, put that same energy into knowing him to serve beautifully and faithfully to our divine calling with him.

God's awareness of our struggles is a testament to his love and care for us. He is always by our side, guiding us through life's trials. It's essential to trust in this process, even when it feels challenging. You are not your emotions. You are a strong individual, capable of overcoming anything. In times of difficulty, let us unite and support one another on our healing journeys and times of struggle. Instead of judgment, let us offer compassion and understanding, not just to others but also to ourselves.
